Our New ISO Certification

We’re delighted to say that here at Mayfield Floors, we have been recognised for both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards!

The ISO standards are internationally recognised, and we chose to have them certified by Alcumus ISOQAR, one of the UKs leading UKAS accredited certification bodies. This means that we can immediately give both our current and prospective clients an enhanced level of assurance. This also enables us to expand our client base as the certification is a necessary requirement for many customers, in particular those working within the public sector.

As well as this, it was important for us to have the integrated standards to raise the profile of the business with the quality and environmental standards in particular helping us to further streamline all of the business’s processes.

What are the standards?

The ISO 9001:2015 promotes the development of continual improvement, customer satisfaction and traceability through leadership, consistency and risk prevention. All of these things are important to us as a company throughout our working relationship with any client.

The ISO 14001:2015 recognises the reduction in pollution, environmental incidents and minimisation of waste and efficient use of raw materials and energy. Through this and the added productivity, cost savings can be made, and environmental sustainability is enhanced too.

How were the standards achieved?

A new cloud-based, business management system was installed to assist with consistent documentation and evaluation of business processes. This promotes a paperless and remote way of working, further reducing the environmental impact of the company.

ISO 9001:2015 is a standard requirement against our QMS which is evaluated. We have demonstrated and verified our compliance to the requirements and our company’s commitment to quality, traceability, and continual improvement.

ISO 14001:2015 required us to define and establish controls to reduce our company’s environmental impact in our everyday operations. Targets and objectives set to minimise waste and appropriately dispose of it, learning how to use energy more efficiently.
